WELCOME TO GUSTL'S HUT AT VRATA VALLEY
Gustl’s Hut is a new, energy-efficient building designed to meet the modern needs of mountaineers, offering more individualized accommodation options. It also includes shared bathroom and toilet facilities, a drying room, and a bicycle storage room. Located in the vicinity of Aljaž’s Lodge, it replaces the old building that once combined a utility area on the lower floor with accommodations above.
Avgust Delavec, a devoted and multifaceted figure in Slovenian mountaineering from the village of Mojstrana, is honored through the naming of this hut. He was a co-founder of the mountaineering section of the Alpine Club Dovje – Mojstrana, an accomplished alpinist, mountain rescuer, longtime president of the association, founder of the Triglav museum collection in Mojstrana, and an honorary member of the Alpine Association of Slovenia. For his devoted contributions to mountaineering, he received numerous awards.
Cooking in the lodge is not allowed, a restuarant is located in the nearby Aljaž's hut.
Gustl's hut offers 29 comfortable beds in 11 new rooms:
- 7x two-bed room
- 3x four-bed room
- 1x room suitable for a person with reduced mobility + two companions
