ALJAŽ'S HUT AT VRATA VALLEY

Aljaž's Hut stands at the edge of a forest clearing in the upper part of the iconic Vrata Valley, offering a stunning view of the surrounding peaks and the majestic Triglav North Wall. It is named after Jakob Aljaž, a well-known priest from the village of Dovje, who played a key role in the development of Slovenian mountaineering and in preserving Slovenian identity in the Triglav mountains.

On the ground floor of Aljaž's Hut is a restaurant with two dining areas that together offer seating for 60 guests. An additional 110 seats are available on the outdoor terrace. We serve traditional Slovenian dishes and specialties typical of mountain lodges. Nearby, you'll also find a reception area and a small souvenir shop, where visitors can purchase mountaineering literature and local souvenirs.

The rooms in Aljaž's Hut may not be heated, but the shared sanitary facilities with washrooms also offer warm water. The lodge thus offers 30 beds in 7 rooms:
